The most valuable aspect of his lessons, I believe, is his willingness to engage with his students and treat them as independent and critical thinkers who are capable of sharing their own thoughts without restraint.

"I have been studying with Nick for almost eight years now, from high school to graduate school, from ESL classes to graduate level academic writing. Regardless of the type and grade level of writing assignment, Nick has been able to expertly edit grammar, check citation formatting, and make very enlightening suggestions about the pacing and main idea of the essay. With his help, my writing and speaking skills have improved greatly in a short period of time.

In addition to writing assignments, Nick also helped me with editing my letter of intent and provided me with a lot of inspiration when I was applying to graduate school. I can say that I was able to successfully graduate from undergraduate and graduate school thanks to Nick's help!

If you want to succeed in writing, I highly recommend taking class with Nick."

Nick is an extraordinary tutor with iron-strong services. The content of his classes is tailored to accommodate your very specific needs. For example, when one needs to write a paper or essay, he can give you critical suggestions based on your topic, vocabulary, format, grammar, and content. These suggestions will be based on the assignment rubric and the teacher’s expectations.

If you are trying to write a novel, like I did, Nick can provide creative and inspirational suggestions based on your theme and contents. In my personal opinion, these suggestions inspired me and made me improve as a novelist while also helping me to comprehend the art of English.

"Thoughtful and detail-oriented in his work as a professional editor and writing coach, Nick is attuned with surprising precision to the text—whether it be school applications or academic writings. He provides insightful comments as well as relentless, yet immensely helpful, criticism that often challenges the core of the argument of one's text. His feedback, however, ultimately proves to be incredibly important, as it always manages to elevate a piece of writing from good (or middling) to exceptional. His meticulous approach to editing and his willingness to listen to and, importantly, understand the intent of the writer ensure that he is able to make every sentence flow seamlessly, every argument coherent, and every original idea of the student presented with clarity.

As an English tutor for high school students, Nick is outstanding in his approach to personalized and professionally delivered lessons. The most valuable aspect of his lessons, I believe, is his willingness to engage with his students and treat them as independent and critical thinkers who are capable of sharing their own thoughts without restraint. Through the study of excerpts taken from works of brilliant and important writers and thinkers, Nick teaches students how to analyze, interpret, and appreciate complex texts. The value of his lessons on these texts lies in their ability to consistently and gradually enhance students’ understanding of the material, buttress their reading and writing confidence, and encourage them to develop their own unique perspectives and voices. Nurturing young adults’ ability to form original and coherent perspectives is vitally important for their development as individuals, both in their academic and professional careers. Equally important is that guiding them through the writings of great thinkers and writers helps to cultivate their aesthetic appreciation and ability to discern works that are valuable in themselves. This, arguably, is beneficial in the long run, for whether the students remember the texts they’ve read or not, the works of these important writers and thinkers will inevitably have a lasting impact on their minds. These impacts, I attest, will positively shape their intellectual and aesthetic sensibilities.

In all, Nick’s services offer significant value, both personally and academically."

Throughout my experience in English class with Nick, I can appeal that I've experienced how fascinating it is to write an essay from one single word to sentences to paragraphs, not just the grammatical tone of writing but, Nick teaches me how to write an English paper with different style or context, cultural sense etc. —like, how the same sentences could sound different or interpreted in several ways.

With Nick, I was actually quite excited about both writing and learning English, because of his coherent and very clear explanations which no other English tutor has ever taught me. Nick did not just teach me what is correct; he gave me a vision of picking up what could be mistaken. Nick’s class definitely triggered my desire and got me in a good mood for learning a different language which would be the most beautiful thing I've ever done.

If you value active thinking, being an activated thinker, instead of passively learning instructions of grammar rules and correctness of usage, you must be happy with having a class with Nick.

The most favourite part about the class is his style of teaching. He always gave me a space to think by myself (after he explained) so I could come up with my own ideas or make sure that I can surely understand the point, respecting my learning speed and different cultural background, which actually helped me a lot,

I studied with Mr. Woolner for grade 11 to 12 English and he gave me a lot of tips and solutions to improve my English skills. As English classes in high school have really tight schedules, there is no time to ask questions to school teachers for help or specific explanations. However, Mr. Woolner helped me to know the definitions of terms and theories that I didn’t fully understand, such as in Literary Criticism and Poetry. Also, he taught better than the actual school teachers for grammar errors and the history of literature that are part of the curriculum. He is an extraordinary tutor for students, especially international students who need a guideline and feedback to follow for their academic success. Even if I have no idea how to start my assignments or prepare for tests, he helps me come up with an idea to begin. In addition to academic improvement, Mr. Woolner also provides a positive atmosphere during classes without any uncomfortable moments and motivates the students with his unique style of teaching.

Whenever you need help to be more successful and raise your English skill or the quality of your assignments, I recommend you book an appointment for his lesson.
